This is the second wedding that I attended in Mexico, and it’s certainly one that I won’t forget. The weather was perfect, the dancing was a blast, and I even got emotional toward the end of the trip. An expected time that was a highlight of my summer this year.

You never know when you’ll spot a celebrity in NYC; it happens randomly to people everyday. But what are the chances that you just happen to be seated at the same dinner table as one! Eating hibachi with Tracy Morgan was an incredible experience.

Despite how increasingly modern DUMBO becomes, there are still some pleasant spots sprinkled throughout to give you a charming experience. One of those spots is Bluestone Lane, officially one of my new favorite coffee shop in NYC.

The majority of my coffee shop exploration has taken place in Brooklyn, so I was curious to see what I could find around Manhattan. My search was focused on high-rated shops, and Gregory’s surfaced a top spot to visit. It gave me just the vibe I was looking.

Even though Blue Bottle is a bit of a wider franchise than many coffee shops I’ve visited, this was the first one that I explored. Modern and exotic are the best words that come to mind when I think about this place - whether it be the decor or the range of international coffee flavors they offer.

Keeping on my hunt for some nice local coffee shops, I found one that seemed a bit low-key. It appeared that Absolute Coffee was not very far from me, so I decided to check it out. It was chill - yet another cool spot to add to me cafe rotation.

Brooklyn Roasting Company stole my heart as soon as I visited it. While I’m a bit sad that this specific location is no longer there, I’m very thankful that I got to spend so much time there during my first couple of years in DUMBO. Hoping to find another location that matches the vibes of this one.

Seafood boil, anyone? This was my first time having one, and I’m happy that it was at Claw Daddy’s. I went with some cool people, enjoyed the positive brunchy energy in the space, and indulged in few “adult capri-suns”. A solid way to spend a chilly weekend in the city.
